sculptures | giclée

The sculptures are produced by laser etching images onto sheets of acrylic. When evenly spaced, the sliced images show the form and identity of the object whilst also exposing all elements both interior and exterior. The raw data to create the sculptures comes from computerised tomography (CT) and 3D laser scanning, with enhancements through Osirix, Meshlab and Photoshop software.

The giclée editions are computer manipulated images from digital models. They are screen shots that are taken at various points whilst adapting 3D mesh and point cloud data. All physical editions are numbered and signed, with 50 images for each edition. The prints are on Museum Etching paper and have torn deckle edges that present beautifully in small boxed frames. The raw data to create the giclée editions come from computerised tomography (CT) and 3D laser scanning, with enhancements through Osirix, Meshlab and Photoshop software.
